Dream catchers are hung according to ancient eisheit above the bed, where they trap the bad dreams in their net. The good dreams, on the other hand, slip through the net and escape back into the open. The morning sun neutralizes all the bad dreams caught in the dreamcatcher`s net. Dream catchers are an ancient tradition of the Native Americans of North America, but are entwined with various traditions.
