This four-poster bed is a real antique from the colonial period on the Indonesian island of Java The front and sides are provided with elaborate carvings. All parts are preserved in the original and were formerly made of teak. The internal dimensions of this small bed pavilion is such that it is also suitable in our length as a bed. This is not the case with most day beds of this type. The bed is delivered disassembled and consists of a solid base and the structure disassembled into 9 parts. The front and the side parts are filigree worked, and are only put together. The connections (pins and dowels), however, do not have the stability, as one is accustomed to an industrial product of today`s design. For daily use, we also recommend the use of angles, which we supply as accessories. For the assembly of the bed basic manual skills are advantageous.
