The trousers are made of reasonably sturdy fabric that has even withstood two machine washes. I put a red item of clothing in the washing machine on its own straight after purchase. Always. I washed these trousers twice because they were so stained. Twice machine wash. Once by hand, three times by hand - you could still have dyed a hotel`s laundry red with the broth. Apart from that, I like the pants. I`ve never had one like them before.
