This artistically carved shelf is made of old, but very well preserved wooden elements. Originally these were used in Indian houses as parts of the furnishings such as on large wall cupboards, shelves, stair railings, ornamental mouldings, plinths and wherever beautiful carvings and inlays were desired as decoration. Today these components of bygone times are painstakingly reworked with love and turned into new furnishings.
